ABUJA (AuGF’ Report) – The Auditor-General for the Federation, Mr. Anthony Mkpe Ayine has commended members of the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), Abuja Chapter for their giant strides in the accounting profession.

Mr. Anthony Mkpe gave the commendation when members of SWAN, Abuja Chapter led by its Chairperson, Mrs Ijeoma Ugwunebo paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Friday June 16, 2017.

The Auditor-General extolled the commendable and worthy activities of SWAN in initiating skills acquisition programme for the less privileged and the “catch them young” training designed for aspiring young people to introduce them early in life to the audit profession.

Mr Ayine expressed optimism that the challenges the country is going through now is a passing phase that will ultimately make us stronger as a nation. He promised to solicit support for the Society so that individually and collectively the Office will assist the Society.

Earlier in her remarks, the Chair person of SWAN,Abuja Chapter, Mrs Ijeoma Ugwunebo congratulated the AuGF on his appointment. She explained that SWAN is established to provide an environment for women accountants to achieve their professional aspirations.
