Abia NAWOJ Holds New Year Thanksgiving Service, Sensitize Citizens On PVC Collection

FIC Report (Abia State) – The Cleric and the General Overseer of the kingdom Glory Christian Center, Pastor Dickson Okorafor has called on Christians to always seek God’s wisdom in all they do in life stressing that to lack wisdom is to lack future, destiny and glory because the higher one’s wisdom is, the higher the person soars in life.

Speaking on the topic  “Wisdom for Exceeding Greatness” and taking his scripture from Proverbs 4:7, Pastor Dickson who highlighted on the wisdom of prayer explained that it is wisdom to pray always because it is the avenue through which humanity interacts with divinity for accomplishments in life and a sure way to power and reign in life.

Life according to him becomes strong when you genuinely spend time with God because you are fortified against satanic harassment ,embarrassment and intimidation in life.

The Clergy noted that once you do not pray, whatever you see you take.

He maintained that Christians should seek wisdom for maximum impact and accomplishments in 2023, as everything that lasts in life is predicated on the principle of wisdom.

The Clergyman revealed that the principal requirement for principle result in life is wisdom which is the capital for all life’s expenditure.

He reiterated that wisdom is not gotten from any citadel of learning but age, time and experience as no king reigns in life without wisdom.

“Wisdom is the principal capital needed for principle accomplishments in life”, he said.

On pathways to resultful prayers, he further highlighted that praying in the spirit and prayer and fasting are keys  because when you pray in the spirit you pray in God’s will and enhance answers to prayers.

Describing prayer as a weapon of victory designed by God which enhances spiritual authority, the Clergyman urged Christians to seek God’s face through the pathway of prayer and fasting.

In her remarks earlier, the State Chairman, NAWOJ, Comrade Josephine Ogwo stated that Members of the Association came to thank God for leading them through last year as well as rededicate themselves for the new year.

Comrade Ogwo, used the forum to appeal to citizens on the need to utilize the two day public holiday by the Abia State Government to collect their Permanent Voter Card saying, “it is the only weapon you have to vote in credible leaders of your choice”.

She said: “Alot of us are not happy with the way things are going on in this country. How can we express our anger against the government of the Day or our elected leaders if we don’t have our PVCs?

“Our PVC is the only way to take back our country. We should not allow politicians hijack the political space. With our PVC, we should make a difference and change the narrative in determining who governs us.

The Service featured prayers for the NAWOJ members, the  state and the nation generally.

The Service which had Members of the Association file out in their numbers in Thanksgiving to God also featured prayers for the NAWOJ Members, the State and the Nation.

The Church Service featured Thanksgiving and Rededication of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Abia State, Chapter.
