The Honourable Minister, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Dr. Godswill Akpabio has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has done more infrastructure than any previous President in Nigeria
Obong Akpabio disclosed this in Abuja when he received the report of an Ad-hoc Committee set up by the Presidential Support Committee (PSC) of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Akpabio said President Buhari is determined to develop the Niger Delta region hence his resolve to reposition the NDDC.
He explained that the Forensic Audit of the Commission is expedient in order to curb corruption. He noted that PMB is the first leader in Nigeria to have taken this bold step of sanitizing the Commission.
He added that President Muhammadu Buhari is not interested in pecuniary interest but in taking decision that is beneficial to all. He therefore urged Nigerians to support the President in his resolve to develop the Nation. He informed the PSC that the Calabar – Itu road has been approved for construction by President Buhari
The Secretary of the Ad-hoc committee of the Presidential Support Committee, Major General Barr. Garba Audu (rtd) during his report presentation to the Hon. Minister stated that the aim of the Committee is to reorganize and restructure the Presidential Support Committee.
Garba said, the Constitution of the Presidential Support Committee has been reviewed.
The Chairman of the Ad- hoc Committee, Presidential Support Committee, Ambassador Lawal Munir pledged their continuous commitment to the Leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and thanked Akpabio for his continuous support and giving them the opportunity to serve the PSC.
