Anyanwutaku Charges NAWOJ On Promoting Government Policies And Programmes

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Dr. Ifeoma Adaora Anyanwutaku has called on the Nigerian Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ), to collaborate more with the Ministry in promoting government policies and programs.

Dr. Anyanwutaku made this statement recently while receiving the Chairperson NAWOJ FCT Chapter, Comrade Annah David and her newly elected executive members in her office in Abuja.

 She congratulated the newly elected members and commended their various plans, activities, programs outlined in creating awareness and sensitizing the public on the rights of children and women in society.  She urged the women to do more, stating that “what a man can do a woman can do better”.

Speaking earlier, the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Annah David explained that the objective of the visit was to formally welcome the Permanent Secretary and appreciate her commitment to work, which she described as a pride to womanhood.

She outlined the plans of the union’s core mandate at promoting and advocating the right of female journalists, vulnerable women and less privileged in the society and outlined the plans of the new Excos.

Comrade Annah expressed her concern over the incessant insecurity, banditry, rape and kidnapping in the country and appealed to the Federal Government and Security Agencies to urgently step up their game in finding a lasting solution to the insecurity menace that has ravaged the country.
