Commonwealth offers technical support to BPSR reforms

The Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) has pledged to offer the needed technical assistance for the the review of National Strategy on Public Service Reforms (NSPSR).
 
Mr. Umoru Abu, the Federal Reform Manager, FCDO, disclosed this in a virtual meeting with the Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, and other management staff of the Bureau.
 
Abu, promised to forward a draft position paper to the Bureau for review and for presentation to SGF.
 
He re-emphasized on the need for the Bureau to put in more effort to ensure the hosting of BHCPF Retreat was realized as the benefit to the Bureau and Nigerian citizens will be great. 
 
He added that the Retreat may not get everybody on board but what was critical was to get the key stakeholders on board.
 
On his part, Arabi, said the meeting was conveyed basically to further discuss and deliberate on possible areas of collaboration with FCDO on the draft compendium on Public Service Reforms 2018-2020.
 
“These documents are very important to the Bureau in its efforts to deliver on its mandate. Therefore, the collaborative efforts with FCDO will assist to enrich this document,” he added.
