The Ward Head of Giginyu, Kano State, Mallam Gambo Lawan, has described early drug abuse detection in children, as one of the effective measures to be opted in addressing drug abuse among youths.
He said this while speaking at a seminar and awareness campaign on drug abuse and its implications, to communities organized by Giginyu Ward Youth Development Association (GWYDA) with support from Leader for Societal Protection against Drug Abuse (LESPADA).
The Ward Head tasked parents to be very vigilant on any behavioral change noticed in their children and address it accordingly.
