Ease of Doing Business: Enelamah commends C.A.C’s commitment to automation, excellent service delivery.

The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah has commended Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.) as one of the Agencies of his Ministry which have been impressive in the promptness and excellence with which they carry out their responsibilities to the public and directives issued from Government.
Dr. Enelamah described the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.)’s Quality Management System recertification and compliance with NIS ISO 9001: 2015 for Registration and Regulation of Business, as “A major breakthrough for the Country when we weigh the certification in international circle”, “especially now that we are talking of reforms in the way we give service and do business in the country.”


The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah said this at the ceremony for unveiling of the Policy and Certification of C.A.C. as having gone through the audit process and being certified as NIS ISO 9001: 2015 compliant. The ceremony was held at the Headquarters of the Commission, on 28th September, 2017.
Represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary who is also the Director of Policy, Planning, Research and Statistics of the Ministry at the event, Mr. Ochapa Ogenyi, the Honourable Minister, Dr. Okechulwu Enelamah commended the C.A.C. for being committed to service delivery and high productivity. He further challenged the Commission to move towards sustenance of service excellence in the Nigerian business environment. He also charged the other Agencies of the Ministry such as the Consumer Protection Council (C.P.C.), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the others to buckle up. “Align your processes to what the customers want through sustained rendition of services, automation and process improvement”, the Minister charged.
While commending the out-going Registrar-General of CAC, Bello Mahmud, as well as the Management and Staff for a job well-done at attaining the ISO certification, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah described the new Policy commitment which is also unveiled along with the new Certification as “A real commitment, which is very huge to meet, to customers’ demand, challenges and complaints, all of the time.”
The Policy Document of the Corporate Affairs Commission states that the Commission is “Committed to providing Prompt and Efficient Registration and Regulatory Service to the satisfaction of (our) valued customers” by ensuring compliance with the Company and Allied Matters Act (CAMA 1990-LFRN2004).
