The Republic of Egypt has promised to help the Kano State Government to achieve smooth implementation of free and compulsory basic and part basic education, as well as, remodeling of the Almajiri school system.
This was made known by the Ambassador of Egypt to Nigeria, Assem Hannafi Elseify, as he received Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who paid him a courtesy visit, at the Egyptian Embassy in Abuja, on Thursday, 22nd August, 2019.
Elseify said ‘we look forward to relate closely with Kano state government in this respect while we are glad to exchange experience in this area, as we ever ready to help Kano achieve this objectives.’
Ganduje in his response, said that the State Governments was making an effort to integrate Almajiri schools as well as provide them with skills in order to become economically self reliant.
