The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam NasirAhmad El-Rufai, has described Kaduna State University (KASU), as one of the best in the country over its medical student’s victory in a quiz competition by the Medical Organization of Nigeria
The Governor stated this when the Vice Chancellor of KASU, Mohammed Tanko and a delegation of students of the school as well as the participants that won the quiz competition, paid him a visit at Sir Kashim Ibrahim house, to present him with the trophy won.
El-Rufai thanked the Vice Chancellor for his leadership and also appreciated the Provost and his team for the amount of knowledge and character impacted on the student that made them the best. He assured the Vice Chancellor of his administration’s readiness to do whatever they can to provide all the support needed to make KASU one of the best in the country and continent as a whole.
He also appealed to the Vice Chancellor to open up the admission into the College of Medicine, to include people from outside Kaduna State and enjoined him to admit the best and brightest students so that they can compete with the best and brightest globally.
Earlier, in his remark, the Vice Chancellor thanked the Governor for the effort in providing their needs to ensure the smooth take off of the College of Medicine by Kaduna State, most especially its commitment towards the Barau Dikko teaching hospital.
