The Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator Presidential Amnesty Program, Prof. Charles Dokubo, today, commissioned the Rivers State liaison office in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital.
This is in furtherance of the Cordinators’ resolve to bring the administration of the office closer to the people in the region.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony Prof. Dokubo said, ‘I am commissioning this office today so that all your demands can be channeled through this office; this office will work in such a way that your sitting down in Abuja will be a thing of the past. I dont have this programme, it belongs to all Niger Delta people; if you feel marginalized you can work into this office and find out why what is due to you has not been given to you; I assure you I will try to be fair to all’.
The Manager, Rivers State Liaison Office, Alabo Fenibo.M. Jack who was full of praise to the government said, ‘We are grateful to the special adviser for his wisdom to establish this office. We recall that on assumption of duty in March, 2018, the Special Adviser had promised to take the program to the next level by reaching to the grassroots. We are elated that his promise has come to reality’.
Before commissioning the office the Special Adviser has been on a tour of impacted communities in the Niger Delta and distributing empowerment kits to beneficiaries to enable them to be self reliant.
