First Batch Of 529 Kano Pilgrims Airlifted to Saudi Arabia

KANO (FIC Kano) – The first batch of 529 intending pilgrims from Kano State were transported to Saudi Arabia for the 2019 Hajj, on Friday 10 July, 2019.

Alhaji Muhammad Abba-Dambatta, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, who disclosed this to newsmen. He said that the pilgrims were from the 12 Local Government Areas of the State.

He further revealed that befitting accommodation had already been secured by the Board to ensure strict adherence to rules and regulation guiding the Hajj in the Holy land.

The Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who was represented by his Deputy, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, cautioned the pilgrims against acts capable of denting the image of the State and the Country while on pilgrimage.
