FIC Report (Abia State) – Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, former Abia State Chief of Staff has with a promise to repair, rebuild and restore security in a new Abia.

He moreover called on the electorate to brace up and assist in giving Abia the positive change it requires by casting their votes for his victory at the polls.

Speaking at the APP Secretariat in Umuahia, shortly after the party primary election which saw him emerged the Candidate through an affirmation arrangement, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu said the mandate to rescue Abia would be accomplished by him through the support of all Abians.

The APP Gubernatorial Candidate who lamented the deplorable conditions of Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the State, despite its rich economic base, also promised free education in primary and secondary schools, payment of workers salaries on or before 25th of every month.

His words, ”Among other Candidates of other parties, I am the only one that has a Government House experience, having been a former Chief of Staff in Abia.

“We will be building physical and stomach infrastructure and also ensure a viable local government system.”

He solicited the support of all Abians to team up with APP in rescuing Abia State and promised job creation, security, industry, good workers’ welfare as well youth employment.

Also, tickets for Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly were done through consensus, where former speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arua Arunsi was elected through affirmation as Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.

Signor Kanu emerged the Candidate of Abia South Senatorial District, Chijioke Nduka for Abia Central while Hon Ifeanyi Adije emerged the Abia North senatorial candidate.

In the House of Representatives, Dr. Lillian Obenwa emerged Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi, Kwubiri Samuel Okorie for Bende Federal Constituency.

For Aba North/South Christopher Iboko emerged the candidate while Sylvanus Nwaji won Ukwa East/ West ticket.

Rev Nnamdi Ogbuagu won Ikwuano/Umuahia while Isiala Ngwa North/South ticket was taken by Hon Vincent Alilionwu and Sunny Mgbaghuru got Osisioma/Obingwa/ Ugwuagbo constituency.

24 State House of Assembly Candidates of the Party were also elected at the Primaries, through the same affirmative method.

The event was witnessed by Security Agencies and Officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
