FIC Report (Abia State) – The Wife of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has flagged off the health Program on ‘Sensitization on the importance of Exclusive Breastfeeding, Children Immunizations and Vaccinations’ in Aba South LGA.
In support of this, a group of Health Personnels headed by Mrs. Love Ogbonna visited the Children Department of Methodist Church, Wesley Cathedral, Aba in furtherance to the prevention of divers communicable diseases.
The Children and Caregivers were educated on the importance of Vitamin A and De-worming to their health.
The Health Officials admonished them to always de-worm the as at when due and also pleaded with them to always comply with them whenever such opportunity is brought to their door steps rather than rejecting the offer with the flimsy excuses that their mothers asked them not to partake of the exercise.
At the end of the Sensitization,each child was given a dose of Vitamin A and De-worming Tabs.
The Health officials also stated that the exercise will last till 1st of July.
and thanked the Children’s Department Superintendent for availing them the time and consent to carry out their job.
