Ikpeazu Charges NYSC Members To Make Effective Use Of Your Service Year

FIC Report (Abia State) – The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu speaking at the event of the 2021 Batch C Stream 1 Passing Out Programme of the Abia State NYSC Members at NYSC Orientation Camp, Umunnaato Bende charged Corps Members to utilize the opportunity made available by the one year mandatory National Service to expand their scope by acquiring additional skills to what they learnt in school.

The Governor represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Youth Development and Chairman, State NYSC Governing Board, Hon Barr. Charles Esonu Onyedikachi further charged them as Corps Members posted to different localities in the state to ensure adequate representation as good Ambassadors of the country and encouraged them to serve within the conceptual framework of the service year.

He Urged them to make good use of the knowledge and experience gathered during the Orientation Camp to make impact and contribute their quota to Abia State and the nation at large.

Speaking Earlier, the State Co-ordinator of NYSC in Abia State , Mr Dennis Jingi noted that the Orientation Camp is an equipment arena for every Corps Member serving in Abia and charged them to practice what they have learnt so far during the Orientation.

He charged them to be good Ambassadors of the Country, working in diligence to promoting the peaceful culture of the nation and advised them to shun cultism and other Social vices which may influence them at their primary place of assignment during the service year.

He thanked the Governor for his support in the scheme and for creating enabling environment for Members of the Corps Service during their Orientation Camp.
