Ikpeazu Rejoices with MD FMC Umuahia, Professor Azubuike Onyebuchi

FIC Report (Abia State) – Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has felicitated with the Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, Sir (Prof.) Azubuike Kanario Onyebuchi on the event of a special Thanksgiving Service in celebration of multiple blessings on him and his family.

Speaking at All Saints Methodist Church, Nigeria, Amuzukwu-Ibeku, venue of the event, Governor Ikpeazu thanked God for elevating Prof. Onyebuchi to the position of Medical Director and Professorship as well as the promotion of his wife. He described the Celebrant as a Man of distinction, saying that his elevations are signs of great things to come.

The Governor, who appreciated the strides of Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi at FMC, Umuahia said time has come for Nigerians to begin to recognize excellence and maintained that Prof. Onyebuchi is a gift to Nigeria. He encouraged the Medial Director to continue in the trajectory of excellence.

Governor Ikpeazu later made cash donations for the widows in the Church.

In his sermon, the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Kalu Uche called on people to be grateful to God for His faithfulness in their lives. He took his text from Psalm 100 and stressed the need to thank God for positions given to people, saying that whatever position anyone enjoys is given by God.

The Prelate thanked God for His faithfulness and favour shown to Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi through his elevation as Medical Director of FMC Umuahia despite all odds and advised him to always ensure he discharges his duties with the fear of God and provide good ambience for the running of the FMC Umuahia.

In a vote of thanks, the Celebrant, Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi thanked God for His faithfulness and all those God used to bring about his elevations. He appreciated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Senator T. A Orji, the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Samuel Kalu Uche and others for coming to honour him.

The event was attended by the Senator representing Abia Central Chief T.A Orji,former Federal Minister, Chief Emeka Wogu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prof. ACB Agbazuere, Eminent Abians including Chief Uzodinma Okpara, Chief Uche Akwukwaegbu, the Lay President of Methodist Church Nigeria, Sir Iheanyichukwu Ogbonna among others.
