Ikwuano House Member visits Erosion Sites in his Constituency

FIC Report (Abia State) – The House of Assembly Member representing the people of Ikwuano State Constituency, Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi has appealed to the State government to act speedily in order to avert the colossal damages prevalent at the erosion degradation in his Constituency.

Hon. Nwabuisi made this passionate appeal when he visited the erosion sites at Obugwu and Amaegbu Communities in Ariam Usaka clan and expressed dissatisfaction over the abandonment by the Contractors handling the projects.

He lauded the efforts of the Indigenes in their efforts to combat the spread of the devastation after he was received by the Traditional Ruler, HRH Eze Ambrose Nwagwu’ Nwabuisi who is also the Committee Chairman on Health lamented on the level of death traps at the area which has suffered negligence in the past years.

Chief B. C Mgbaramuko while showing Hon Nwabuisi the erosion menace urged him to use his position and urgently bring in the government for a quick palliative intervention that will alleviate the sufferings of the people.

He, however, promised to ensure work commences again assuring them he will appeal to the State Government to return the Contractors to the Site while promising that the government will rescue the erosion area to save lives and properties in the Communities.
