Inspector General of Police Briefs Minister of Police Affairs.

ABUJA (Min of Police Affairs) – The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi, has called on the entire Police Force and other Security Agencies in the country, to join hands in mapping out strategies to move the country to the next level.

He made this call while receiving the Inspector General of Police, IG Mohammed Adamu, who was in the Ministry to brief the Minister and the Management on the activities of the Police Force, on Thursday, 12th of September,2019.

He assured the Force of his full cooperation to ensure its proper funding, to meet the current security challenges in the country.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Maurice Nnamdi Mbaeri, while welcoming the IG and his team, commended the Police Force for the good job they’ve been doing. He noted that the core mandate of the Force was to ensure internal security for the good people of Nigeria.

Earlier in his remark, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, stated he had come to brief the Minister on the activities of the Police, such as the current efforts channeled at community policing; improved technology employed to meet up with the realities on ground; the Police trust fund and the need to upgrade the Police college in Kano to a full-fledged University.

He also highlighted challenges of the force which bothers on the envelope concept
