Hon Minister FMY&SD Barr Solomon Dalung, (2nd rgt) with Late Fashikun Brother and Friends

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development Bar. Solomon Dalung eulogies late Olajide Fashikun whom he said died fighting for justice. While sympathizing with his family members and friends who visited him in his office at the Federal Secretariat on Monday 6th May 2019, Bar. Dalung stated that late Fashikun has not only left his family to mourn him but his friends and the entire Nation.

His death according to the Hon Minister was unceremonial even though man is a victim to the clarion call of death. He also said that late Fashikun would be greatly missed more so as he was a gallant fighter, intelligent, patriotic and courageous.

Barr. Dalung while consoling his family stated that late Olajide’s blood will remain an inspiring consolation in the minds of Nigerians who should continue to build the relationship he laid as a National Handball player of his father land Nigeria  and Zamleck of Egypt.

Earlier, Mrs Mary Onyali Omagbemi former Athletics Olympian who was accompanied by late Olajide’s br other Engr. Samuel A. Fashikun and their business partner Mr. Chika Nwankwo appreciated the Hon. Minister for being supportive during the burial of their late brother and friend.

They recalled late Jide’s writing Pen which was described as being acidic in his course of disseminating information as well as initiating positive proposals for national sports development. They expressed their unreserved gratitude to the Minister for ensuring that their late brother and friend was given a befitting burial.
