Kano State Government hails FG’s support to control, prevent and treat COVID-19 cases in the State, specially commends National Ambulance Response Team.

The Kano State Government has expressed appreciations to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the Federal Ministry of Health Team comprising of Health Professionals of the Ministry and the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for tireless and selfless deployments in Kano State and the Nation especially when the response team of the State was almost overwhelmed.

In an appreciation letter signed by the Executive Secretary, Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr.  Tijjani Hussaini dated 29th May, 2020, sent to the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, the Kano State Government not only commended the Honourable Minister and the Director-General of NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu “for their tireless and selfless efforts toward controlling and preventing the spread” as well as “the treatment of COVID-19 in Kano State and the Nation in general”, it singled out “the noble contributions of the National Ambulance Response Team headed by Dr. Ibeanusi Sydney”, the provision of equipment, PPEs, consumables and training of 95 COVID-19 Kano State Ambulance Service personnel.”

The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board’s scribe also expressed the appreciation of his State’s Government for the “technical assistance provided by twenty-one (21) team of trained specialized ambulance personnel consisting of nurses, paramedics and drivers from Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to support the COVID-19 response in Kano State.”

Dr. Hussaini also extended the appreciation of Kano State Government for “the support and good working relationship with all the team members during their stay, stressing that their services were not only to Kano but to the entire nation.”
