A member of the Oyo House of Assembly, Honourable Segun Ajanaku has raised, during the week plenary sessions the need to prevent imminent collapse of Federal Government School Feeding Programme in the state.

Aware that the state is a beneficiary of the Federal Government Intervention scheme, he wouldn’t want a collapse of it, as the aim is to increase the nutritional status of students.
He advised that for avoidance of the collapse of the scheme, modalities and conditions of the School Feeding Programme should be spelt out to food vendors and participants, and this must be adhered to strictly.

In the meantime, Honourable Mrs. Bimbo Olawumi Oladeji of Ogbomoso North State constituency has raised as a matter of public importance on the urgent need to avert another indefinite industrial action at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
She stated that there had been a breach of agreement by the two owner states on the Memorandum of Understanding, MOU signed with the administration of the institution as there was still accumulation of seven and half months arrears of unpaid salaries, thus causing hardship and financial embarrassments to members of the university community.

Worried that as a result of this breach, an indefinite strike action, if urgent rescue intervention is not taken by the owner states may cause a situation whereby students of the university would engage themselves in aimless wandering and criminal activities, because “an idle hand is a devil’s workshop.”

Further concerned, Honourable Fatai Adesina of Ibadan South East constituency I said that the plight has become a lingering issue that bothers on the future of our youths.
He therefore called on all stakeholders concerned to be on their toes and work together for great achievement.
