KATSINA (FIC Katsina) –Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has sympathized with the people of Batsari Local Government Area of Katina State, for losing ten (10) farmers to Bandits.
The Governor addressed the community leaders of the area who came to complain at the government house over the incessant killings of their people by bandits.
The Governor who condoled them, assured them that he is doing everything within his ability to curb the menace. He promised to table the issue before the Presidency for possible solutions and urged them to remain calm.
Earlier, the leader of the people, Aminu Ruma, told the Governor that the victims were killed in their farmlands in Yar-gamji village of Batsari Local Government Area. He revealed that some farmers were still missing, following the attack and stated that the bandits also rustled some cows that belonged to the victims.
Ruma told the Governor that the people of Batsari, Safana and Danmusa Local Government Areas would be unable plant crops this year for fear of bandits attack; he therefore urge the government to hasten measures that would end insecurity challenges bedeviling the areas.
