Minimum Wage: FG to Parley With Organised Labour

ABUJA – (Federal Ministry of Labour & Employment Report) – The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige (Sen) has scheduled to hold a meeting with the Executives of the Organised Labour Unions in the country.

The press statement issued by the Director of Press in the Ministry, Samuel Olowookere on Wednesday January 2, 2019 indicates that the meeting is aimed at nipping in the bud the threat of national industrial action by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) over the transmission of the New National Minimum Wage to the National Assembly.

According to the statement, the programme of the meeting will take place as follows:
