NCSU Council Chairman Describes Newly Appointed SGoF as Exceptional Technocrat

Council Chairman of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) of the Federal Council, Comrade Timothy Odebunmi has described the Surveyor General of the Federation (SGoF), Surv. Taiwo Samuel Adeniran as an exceptional technocrat, and thus commended Muhammadu Buhari, the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces for appointing him to steer the affairs of Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF).

Comrade Odebunmi, who gave the description when he led officials of the union of the Federal Council on a courtesy call on Surv. Taiwo said NCSU has followed his previous efforts and further commitment since he assumed the position of SGoF pointing out that his well-deserved appointment was not a surprise.

Along with the Council Secretary, Comrade Sanni Adewale, Comrade Odebunmi applauded the SGoF for bankrolling previous financial commitments and debts of OSGoF and for approving training courses for all staff in the junior cadre.

While appealing to the SGoF to ensure proper budget provision for the next workers day celebration among others that could further boost workers morale, they noted that the gesture of the new management of OSGoF would continue to encourage the commitment of staff for better productivity and uplift of the name of OSGoF in the scheme of affairs generally in the country.

Responding, the SGoF, Surv. Taiwo S. Adeniran charged workers to avoid redundancy and rededicate themselves to genuine service to enhance good governance. He said government job was an affair of the public and must not be held as such and not privately.

He promised to work in harmony with both the management and junior staffers pointing out that every staff remain relevant for OSGoF to make impact in the society promising open communication for doable interaction.

Officials of the council that accompanied the chairman on the courtesy visit include Comrade Isa UsmanDegri, Vice Chairman; Comrade Adeogun Ganiyat, Vice Chairwoman; Comrade Adoga G. A, Treasurer; Comrade Peace Greg Nwajei, Auditor; Comrade Titus Okoro, Assistant Secretary; Comrade R. A. Adisa in charge of Finance and Accounts; and the Trustee, Comrade Moses O. Akam. Others were the OSGoF Unit Chairman, Comrade Atanda Adedayo Morenike and the Secretary, Comrade Isaac Audu. Others were the Treasurer, Comrade Vera Ojile and the Ex-Officio – Comrades Anne Kinsley and Austine Oden.
