NDE Conducts Orientation Programme for Beneficiaries of Agric Loan Packages

FIC Report (Abia State) – The National Directorate of Employment NDE has conducted an Orientation Programme for Beneficiaries of its Agricultural Loan Packages and Sustainable Agricultural Development Training Scheme (SADTS) under the Rural Employment Promotion (REP) Department.

In his address at the event, which took place at NDE Abia State Office, Umuahia, the Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Fikpo represented by the State Co-ordinator, Mr. Chima Uzoma Ibeh, explained that the loan is a 40 percent carry over from the 100 Beneficiaries of the 2021 Agricultural loan scheme for the state.

He said that those from that batch who could not receive their approved loan applications were now going to receive theirs.

While congratulating the beneficiaries for being amongst those selected to either undergo the Trainings or benefit from the various carefully designed loan packages, he further charged them to be serious with their Trainings.

In his address, the Director, Rural Employment Promotion department represented by Mr. Pascal Edene reminded the loan beneficiaries that the loans are repayable under a single digit interest rate with three months moratorium.

He urged them to put the loans to judicious use and also charged the Training Beneficiaries to be dedicated to the Trainings to enable them create self employment for themselves and possibly others too.

He further said that those who do well in their Trainings will most likely benefit from the revolving NDE Agricultural Loan Packages.

Responding on behalf of the Loan Beneficiaries, Mr. Justin Okere promised to apply the loan towards boosting his piggery farm.

Mr. Goodhope Ekeoma who responded on behalf of the Training Beneficiaries, appreciated the Federal Government for it’s laudable job creation Programmes through the NDE.

He promised on behalf of his Colleagues to take their Trainings seriously.

The Head, Rural Employment Promotion department of NDE Abia State, Mrs. Stella Chikwuekezie in her vote of thanks, appreciated the Management Staff of NDE Headquarters, her State Office Colleagues and the Training Beneficiaries for their concerted efforts in making the Programmes succeed.
