President Buhari Restates Commitment to Agriculture in Ebonyi State

ABAKILIKI – (FIC Abakiliki Report) – Nigeria’s President, Mohammad Bihari has said that he is committed to developing agriculture to the level which it was during the first republic. He stated this recently, while meeting with traditional rulers, government officials and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Government House in Abakaliki.

President Buhari who was in Ebonyi State for his re-election campaign commended the Ebonyi State Governor, Umahi for his giant strides in the development of agriculture in the state.

In his response to the remarks, David Umahi thanked the President for ensuring that the South East benefits from Federal Government Projects, though Ebonyi State is yet to have its fair share of the project. He expressed belief that the President has the interest of the State at heart .

The high point of the events included the adoption of Governor Umahi and President Buhari by the traditional Rulers as their Governorship and Presidential candidates respectively.
