FIC Report (Imo State) – President Muhammad Buhari has paid a one day working visit to Imo state to commission various projects completed by the Governor Hope Uzodinma led administration.
The President who arrived the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport was received by the state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma alongside other top Government officials.
In his opening remarks, Governor Uzodinma stated that the projects to commissioned include the 36 kilometer dualized Owerri-Orlu road, the first phase of the 53 kilometer Owerri-Okigwe road, both of which are Federal roads as well as the fully reconstructed and furnished Imo State House of Assembly Complex.
The Governor noted that the projects being commissioned had all been abandoned by previous administrations, adding that he believes that’s they will stimulate and enhance economic growth and development in the state.
President Buhari in his address commended Senator Hope Uzodinma on the successful completion of the projects which he described as infrastructure revolutions that will greatly benefit the state.
He promised that the Federal Government will continue to support the Government of Imo State as well as other states in the Federation irrespective of their political affiliations to ensure due dividends of democracy for the people.
