POINT OF ORDER

  1. Sen. Abubkar Kyari sought for and was granted the leave of the Senate to move a motion on recent increase in registration and other fees at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State Motion was approved for presentation and taken.

The Senate resolved to:

  1. Mandate the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions TETFUND to engage the Management of the university of Maiduguri to take action on the increment to enable the Committee carry out investigation on the matter in a bid to finding lasting solution and report back to the Senate in two weeks;

 Additional Prayers

ii. Federal Ministry of Education should through NUC harmonize all services, fees, and surcharges in Nigeria Tertiary Institutions.

All Prayers were adopted as amended.

  1. Chuwuka Utazi sought for and was granted the leave of the Senate to move a motion drawing the attention of the Senate to the abandoned Projects in National Health Care Agencies in Nigeria.

Also he  appealed for consideration to be given to the deplorable state of the roads in Enugu with special reference to Enugu- Lokoja-Abuja road.

Motion was approved for presentation and taken.
