SON Organize General Sensitization Programme In Kano

The standard organization of Nigeria (SON) has organized a one day sensitization programme on SON act and ease of doing business in Kano.
The sensitization with the theme “if you see unwholesome say something to SON” held at grand Central hotel, Kano on Thursday 11th April, 2019. 

In his welcome address the state coordinator standard organization of Nigeria Kano state office, Engnr Y. B. Mohammed, explained that Son in line with our vision which is to improve life through standardization and quality assurance had been doing multifarious range of services to our teeming stakeholders and generality of Nigerians towards assurance of quality goods and services and to promote consumer confidence and global competitiveness of Nigeria product and services through standardization and quality assurance. 

He said, the organization under the current stewardship of the Director General/ Chief executive Mr. Osita Anthony Aboloma had in recent times stem up awareness program as it affect different sector of the economy, having realized that the stakeholders and Nigerian economy were not getting it the best out of most trade activities, particularly with other nations.

The state coordinator, then urged the stakeholders to listen with the rapt attention the presentations, and discussions throughout the event and raise pertinent issues relevant to discussion. 

In his remarks, the director General Standard Organization of Nigeria, Osita Aboloma who was represented by the zonal director. Abba Adamu Bauchi stressed the need to overcome the many problems that are encountered in the course of doing business, which poses a big challenge towards collective efforts to do the right thing for businesses. 

He said, the SON act 2015 has certain unique provisions towards ensuring that a level playing field is created for our manufactures, importers, traders, exporters as well as product end – users 

The DG therefore urges stakeholders to collaborate with SON for overall benefit of our dear country.
