ABUJA (NCWD Report) – The Director General, National Centre for Women Development (NCWD), Barr. (Mrs.) Mary Ekpere Eta, in commemorating the 2019 day of the African Child (DAC), has urged parents to spend quality time with their children.

The event which is celebrated yearly on 16th June, was held recently at the Fati Muazu Block, NCWD with the theme – Humanitarian Action in Africa: Children’s Rights First.

Mrs. Ekpere Eta stated that the theme has helped the Centre in projecting the uniqueness of our culture and tradition through the children and further help in raising awareness on the constant need for improvement of the education provided to the African Children.

She however, prayed that God will continue to nurture the children into useful personalities to their families, Nigeria and the African Continent.

Earlier in his good will message, the Director, Human Resources Department, Central Bank of Nigeria, represented by Deputy Manager, Employment and Welfare Office, Mr. Oto Emmanuel, called on parents to treat their children with love and care because they are leaders of tomorrow.

In attendance were Directors and other staff of the Agency as well as parents and CBN staff.
