Sultan commends FCT Minister says Nigeria, not a mistake

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III (Alh.), has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello for his efforts in giving the FCT a befitting status as the capital of Nigeria.

He stated this when he led a delegation of traditional and religious leaders from the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) on a courtesy visit to the FCTA recently, adding that the visit, was to show support of the Council, to the FCT Minister in his work towards ensuring the growth and development of the territory. 

The Sultan also called on the FCT Minister to spread development of the territory to the satellite towns and area councils which would as a result decongest the city center.
 
He urged staff of the FCTA to give 100% loyalty, to the administration so it can achieve its objective of building for Nigeria a world class capital city.
 
He further described Nigeria as a great country stating that the Almighty Allah did not make a mistake by bringing all of us together. He admonished Nigerians to work at strengthening interfaith relations amongst one another adding that the Council has been doing that and will continue to do more.
 
The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, thanked the Sultan for his good works in terms of bring cooperation and understanding amongst the major religious groups in Nigeria. He added that his stabilizing influence is something that is well known and has been a very important factor that has led to religious harmony in this country.
 
The Minister prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to guide and give the Sultan the strength to continue to do the good work he has been doing for the Ummah and the nation at large while assuring his guests that he will honour the confidence reposed in him as Minister of the FCT.
 
Members of the delegation included the Emir of Bauchi, Emir of Lafia, Emir of Keffi, the Otaru of Auchi, the Ona of Abaji, the Offor of Umuofor and Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Secretary General of the NSCIA amongst other traditional and religious leaders
