4. A Bill for an Act to Establish Nigerian Institute for Industrial Security; and for Related Matters (HB.2083) (Rep. Gogo Bright Tumtuno) – Second Reading. The Bill was voted on, approved for second reading and referred to the House Committee on Commerce.

5. A Bill for an Act to provide for Establishment of National Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Studies, Lagos State; and for Related Matters (HB.2012) (Rep. Rotimi Agunsoye) – Second Reading. The second reading of the Bill stepped down by leave of the House

6. A Bill for an Act to Amend Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, 2013 to Prohibit Cross Dressing; and for Related Matters (HB.1938) (Rep. Muda Lawal Umar) – Second Reading. The second reading of the Bill stepped down by leave of the House.

7. A Bill for an Act to Establish the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State as a Training Institute for the Development of Medical and Health Sciences and make comprehensive Provisions for the Management and Administration of the University; and for Related Matters (HB.2101) (Rep. Olufemi Fakeye) – Second Reading. The Bill was voted on, approved for second reading and referred to the House Committee on Health Institutions.

9. Re-Committal of Bills :(i) National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism Bill, 2019 (HB.45);

(ii) University of Aerospace and Aeronautics, Oka-Akoko (Establishment) Bill, 2021 (HB.1483).Rep. Abubakar Hassan Fulata:

Resolves to: Commit the Bills to the Committee of the Whole for reconsideration. The motion was voted on and adopted.

10. Need to Investigate the Death of Mr Paul Egbon, an Outpatient of Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja: Rep. Sergius Ose Ogun, Rep. Julius O. Ihonvbere:

Resolves to :(i) Observe a minute’s silence in honour of the dead, Mr Paul Egbon;

(ii) Mandate the Committee on Health Institutions to investigate the basis for the decision to send Mr Paul Egbon home instead of conducting the ECG test and administering proper treatment the day he came for treatment and report back within four (4) weeks for further legislative action. The motion was voted on and adopted as amended.

11. Need to Restore Electricity Supply to the Communities of Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency in Cross Rivers State: Rep. Daniel Asuquo

Resolves to:(i) urge the Federal Ministry of Power and Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission cause Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company to restore power supply to Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency;(ii) mandate the Committee on Power to ensure compliance. 12. Need to Investigate the Execution of the MoU between Galaxy Backbone and the Chinese Government for Fibre Infrastructure Across the Country: Rep. Mzondu Benjamin Bem:

Resolves to:(i) mandate the Committee on ICT to investigate the status of implementation of Phase 1 of the project including a forensic audit on relevant transactions for the purpose of executing the National Information Communications Technology Infrastructure Backbone (NICTIB) projects 1 and 2;

(ii) Urge the Galaxy Backbone Limited and Ministry of Finance to immediately halt all certificates of completion and payments, respectively, in lieu of the project, pending the completion of the investigation by the Committee The motion was voted on and adopted.
