 MOTIONS

 13. Passage of Constitution (Fifth) Alteration Bill No.47 (Establishment of State Security Council), 2023 Rep . Ahmed Idris Wase​​​​ Rep. Alhassan Ado Garba Doguwa and 34 others.

Resolutions: (i) Urge Gombe, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara, Plateau, Sokoto and Taraba State Houses of Assembly, that are yet to forward their resolution on the Bills, to do so in fulfilment of their constitutionally imposed legislative obligations to the Constitution amendment process;

(ii) mandate the Clerk to the National Assembly to transmit the Bill to the President for his assent in line with the provisions of the Acts Authentication Act. The motion was voted on and adopted.

14. Discharge of Committees on Referrals on Bills, Pursuant to Order Eighteen, Rule 3(1)(g) of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives: Rep. Abubakar Hassan Fulata:

15. Need to Investigate the Non-Provision of Mobile Telecommunication Network Services to The Underserved and Unserved Areas of Nigeria by the Nigerian Communications Commission: Rep. Sergius Ose Ogun:

Resolutions: Set up an Ad-hoc Committee to investigate the failure/inability of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to promote widespread availability and usage of mobile telecommunication network services throughout Nigeria, including the underserved and unserved areas and report back within four (4) weeks for further legislative action.  The motion was then stepped down by leave of the House for further legislative actions.
