 6. Discharge of Committees on Referrals on Bills, Pursuant to Order Seventeen, Rule 3(g) of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives: Rep. Abubakar Hassan Fulata: The House: Notes that the following Bills were separately read a Second time and referred to various Committees of the House for legislative actions, namely:

1. Pension Reform Act (Amendment) Bill, 2022(HB. 2025)

2. Nigerian Military Academy, Igbo-Eze Enugu State (Establishment) Bill, 2021 (HB. 1573)

3. Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun State (Establishment) Bill, 2021(HB. 1763)

Resolutions: Discharge the Committees above mentioned from the Bills referred to them and commit same to the Committee of the Whole for consideration. The motion was voted on and adopted.

7. Need to Complete the Construction of Ediene Abak-Ikot Ekan-Etinan Road Project: Rep. Aniekan Umanah:

Resolutions :(i) urge the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to ensure that work resumes on the site of the project;

(ii) Mandate the Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to ensure compliance. The motion was voted on and adopted.

8. Need to Condemn Attacks on Offices and Facilities of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC): Rep. Oluga Taiwo: The motion was stepped down by the leave of the House for further legislative action as there seems to be a similar motion with similar prayers before the House.

9. Need to Investigate the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) and Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for Lopsided Recruitment/ Employment: Rep. Ibrahim Muhammed Hafiz Kawu:

Resolutions :(i) urge the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) and the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to cancel the recruitment/employment if found short of the Federal Character observance and conducted in tandem with Federal Character regulation; (ii) Mandate Committees on Petroleum Upstream and Federal Character to investigate the lopsidedness of the recruitment/employment process of NEITI and NUPRC and report back within three (3) weeks. The motion was voted on and adopted.
