1. Confirmation of the Nomination of Mr. Anthony Ojukwu, SAN for Re-appointment as Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission by Senate Leader, Senator Ibrahim Gobir

Acting Senate Leader, Senator Ajayi Borrofice moved that the Senate do consider the request of Mr. President C-in-C on the confirmation of the nomination of Mr. Anthony Ojukwu, SAN for Re-appointment as Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission in accordance with the provisions of Section 7(2) of the National Human Rights Commission (Amendment) Act, 2010.

Minority Leader, Senator Philips Aduda seconded.

The request of Mr. President C-in-C was referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters for further legislative action to report back within one week.

2. Confirmation of the Nomination of Hon. Justice Stanley Adekunle Lawal, for Appointment as the Substantive President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory by Senate Leader, Senator Ibrahim Gobir

Acting Senate Leader, Senator Ajayi Borrofice moved that the Senate do consider the request of Mr. President C-in-C on the confirmation of the nomination of Hon. Justice Stanley Adekunle Lawal, for Appointment as the Substantive President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory in accordance with Section 266(1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
